Weight lifting with modifications – For the elderly or Limitations

Posted by admin on August 18th, 2010 and filed under Senior Fitness | 8 Comments »

This is not a professional bodybuilding or weightlifting video. I’m not competition for Jackie Warner. But as an older woman, I know the value of a good weight lifting program. I also know how you can easily get hurt. So in this short video I show you some ways to change some of the most popular lifts. I have not mentioned in the video, but make sure and keep your arm close to body. This gives you extra protection against injury. If you like this, I’ll do more. www. swagbucks. com

@thepowerwriter I’ll be 60 soon. I create fitness DVDs for women. I’m recovering from spinal surgery so I’m inviting other women to get in shape with me by providing free workouts. Come give me a visit! So glad you’re sharing too!

@GetRealFit Thank you for the comment. You’re right. The older we get, the more we need exercise. I wish more people would realize that because aging is no fun. If you’re fit, however, it can be as good or better than middle age or even younger. The quality of life is what matters.

    Thank you for your Documentation
Nowadays with all the knowledge about Fitness (Training) and healthy Life (Nutrition) we can remain in great shape or even regain what we previously lost during decades of bodily inactivity. My suggestion for a wholistic training regimen is to join a Fitness Studio, resistance workout every 2nd day, and cardiotraining at home next day, for example on a threadmill set at an ascent of 10% for “uphillclimbing” which is far better for the ankles than running.
